Are you training in your heart rate zone for optimal fat burning? Here is the easiest formula for beginners to start monitoring their cardio workouts. 220 - age = maximum heart rate (you never should be this high!) Your maximum heart rate (MHR) x .75% = your effective cardio zone to maintain you can go as high as 85% of your max, but beginners should start from 60-70% of their max.
